Women Come in All Sizes

The Importance of Embracing Diverse Body Shapes

I posted this on my personal facebook today. It's been one of those things that's always on my mind, especially in the world we live in today. Women come in all sizes ... short, tall, thin, heavier, different color skin ... the list goes on. In society today, some say "real women" are a size 16 and up because that's the "average" size. I call bull shit. Real women are all women. We get a lot of crap about our main model, Vanessa, being thin. Guess what, that's just who she is! She's a mom like most of us (of 4 children!!) and has the stretch marks to prove it. Just because she's a size small doesn't mean she's not real. Just as because I'm a size 10 doesn't mean I'm not real either.
Women have to start supporting each other and quit saying nasty things about one another just because someone doesn't match your style or what you consider "pretty."
We all need to be our best version of ourselves 100% of the time. If you have to talk trash about another woman you don't even know, it's probably time you take a good look at yourself and start there. Learn to love and be confident in YOU and you'll live a much happier life.
Just my food for thought for this Monday!

Vanessa is spunky, beautiful…and thin. Her relatable look and attitude drew me into the store. She is so well spoken and vibrant and happens to be my size. Body shapes and sizes go in and out of fashion. It is just as hurtful to make a negative comment about underweight women as it is rude to criticize women with high BMI. I often try to hide my weight because of judgmental people. I appreciate that this article celebrates all sizes of women and their individuality.
You are such an inspiration along with your other models, just keep doing what ya’ll do best and god blessed you and all that surrounds you!♥️
Right on!!! Me as a size 16& have gone up to 18-20& lower than 16 as well, you STILL have bigger clothes !!! And you DO show what some of the other models look like as bigger models, so they just must not be looking all the time or don’t know that you ARE INCLUSIVE LOL , she’s just your main model. I could see if u only had her & only sold smaller sizes but you do both!!! Smh . Kydos to you btw 👌🏼🫶🏼
I’m so thankful I found this site. Your clothes are cute, and I love the sizing.
Yes! I love shopping with y’all because of sizing!! Thank you💕💕
Amen, Amen, Amen!
Thank you! Totally crying! I have struggled with accepting my new lovely body after two kiddos but this gave me courage to wear my swimsuit and ROCK It! We truly are all miracles in so many shapes and sizes because we are real women and so are the supermodels included. None of us look the same but we shine bright as only we can! Thank you dear for being boldly you. BTW your story of how you started your business has blessed me as I start my own. Thank you so much! God bless you. Love from one Lesley to another. ❤️💃🏽
Love it and love this company!!! I order from you all the time and have loved everything I’ve ever gotten! Thank y’all for being real in all aspects!!! 💕
Thank you ! We need to lift each other up instead of dragging each other down! Thank you for making clothes available for all of us!!
Thankyou. Well said.
AMEN to every word !
I think John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono said it best, “Make Love Not War”. Pick your battles and appreciate difference. Leslie and Vanessia I’m proud of you both and what you stand for. Keep rocking it !!!
You look great!
It doesn’t matter our"size" someone will always be critical ( if even under their breath).
Stand true to yourself.
God Bless
Thank you so much for your words! I’ve been on both sides. While made fun of for being too thin, I longed to not be so anymore. I got so tired of hearing ’don’t you ever eat?’ Now I’m heavier and have days when I feel like the judging eyes are always staring down my large stomach and back rolls. It is so sad that women make other women feel this way. Thank you for featuring all sizes and shapes at Zig Zag Stripe!
Thank you for sharing!! We all come in different shapes and sizes. Our identity is not in our weight but in the one who created us!! We all need to be the best version of who we were created to be♥️
