Today marks 9 years. It’s the longest job I’ve ever had. Pretty crazy to think. It really feels like we just started which leads me to firmly believe that when you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. I think it’s easy to say for me, it’s true. Now, that doesn’t mean we haven’t had our fair share of trials and tribulations! 😂 It’s worth it though. 

When I started ZZS I just wanted to make some extra money for our family. I was the mama to 3 littles and just wanted to help supplement Joel’s firefighter salary. Wild to say, now 9 years later Joel retired and we are growing an empire (at least to us!) 

I will say that our mission has changed a little bit over the years as I “found” myself as a person, woman, mom, entrepreneur … you know all those things you do as you get closer to age of 40. We’ve always been about “affordable clothing for women” and that’s still true today. We work all day, every day to make sure we are bringing in stylish affordable clothes. But, as the years have progressed, I’ve really realized that I want to empower women to love themselves, really feel powerful yet cute when wearing our stuff. It doesn’t matter your age, your size, the color of your skin … seems like this day and age everyone gets so wrapped up in what everyone else is doing. My motto … quit worrying about everyone else babe, just do you! 

So, as we start our 10th year of business, I’m here for the women supporting women. ♥️ Because at the end of the day, we are just a bunch of real women doing real life.
